Biography

Dr. Ruby A.Skinner is the Chief of the Trauma Division and Director of the Surgical Critical Care Unit. She joined the surgical faculty at Kern Medical Center in 2009. Prior to her recruitment to KMC, she was in private practice in Los Angeles where she specialized in trauma, surgical critical care and acute care general surgery. She also served on the surgical faculty at Northwestern University, Chicago. She is fellowship trained in trauma and surgical critical care and leads an active trauma research program at KMC. She serves on a number of regional and national trauma and critical care society committees. She specializes in all aspects of general surgery.
