Biography
Dr. Tony Joseph is the Director of Trauma (Emergency) and an Emergency Physician at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. He was the chairperson of the Steering Committee for the formation of the Australasian Trauma Society in 1997 and is a Past President and Treasurer of the Society. He is the Clinical Associate Professor-Emergency Medicine, Northern Clinical School. He has been the Chairperson of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Ultrasound Subcommittee and is the current Chair of the NSW Faculty of the ACEM as well as a member of the ACEM Council and the current chair of the ACEM Standards Committee. He is an author on 19 publications, three book chapters and has given over 30 presentations at national and international Emergency and Trauma meetings. He is a section editor for Trauma for Emergency Medicine Australasia (EMA) as well as a reviewer for Injury and the Lancet. He is also involved in teaching emergency ultrasound to other doctors and emergency medicine trainees and medical students. He has also been a supervisor for medical students doing honours year. He is currently an EMST Instructor and Course Director. He is also an Instructor on the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons\' Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CRISP) Course.

Disaster preparedness, Post-Traumatic stress disorder and the Emergency Department, Ultrasound in the Emergency Department, the use of Ultrasound in Trauma and Trauma Radiology. Venous Thrombo-Embolic disease, Development of Trauma systems, Trauma Resuscitation and Trauma Service Verification.
