Zun, M.D., M.B.A. is the System Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine in the Sinai Health System in Chicago, Illinois and Chairman & Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine and a secondary appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science/Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. His background includes a medical degree (M.D.) from Rush Medical College and a business degree (M.B.A.) from Northwestern University's JL Kellogg School of Management. Mélanie Bérubé is a PhD candidate at McGill University. She completed an acute care post-master’s nurse practitioner diploma at the University of Toronto and a master’s degree at the Université de Montréal. Ms. Bérubé has work as an advanced practice nurse in orthopaedics and trauma for 5 years and a clinical nurse specialist in the fields of trauma and critical care for 10 years. She currently holds the positions of trauma coordinator and research coordinator for the Department of Nursing at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montreal, a level one trauma center. Her research interest is the prevention of adverse events in trauma including the acute to chronic pain transition.

Alessandra Falco has completed her PhD in Social and Personality Psychology from Padua University. She is now Researcher and Adjunct Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at Padua University.

Her research areas are: (a) work-related stress risk assessment, with particular reference to the development of “integrated” tools, based on subjective, objective, and physiological indicators; (b) the role of specific individual and behavioral dimensions (workaholism, negative affectivity, mindfulness, PsyCap resources, perfectionism, presenteeism) in the etiology of organizational well-being/disease; (c) social marketing, communication and change, with particular reference to traffic psychology.

Calvin Mak is a Neurosurgeon specialist, working as an Associate Consultant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong. After completing his graduation at University of Hong Kong, he worked at several neurosurgery centers in Hong Kong during Neurosurgical training, and completed the fellowship of FRCSEd (SN) in 2014. His current clinical and research interest includes “Traumatic brain injury, skull base surgery, neuro-endoscopy, and minimal access brain and spine operations”. He is also interested in implementing information technology in postgraduate training and medical practice.

Dr.Tran received his B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2003, from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis).In 2008, he completed his Ph.D.in Comparative Pathology from UC Davis. This data precipitated significant changes in United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines involving BGMS approval, and recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for glycemic monitoring in critically ill patients. Currently, Dr. Tran serves as Assistant Clinical Professor for the Clinical Chemistry and Point-of-Care Testing Sections through the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UC Davis School of Medicine. He serves as Principal Investigator for a $1.87 million United States Army Medical Research and Material Command (USAMRMC) Sepsis Trial [multicenter, randomized, controlled trial] evaluating the clinical impact of rapid, quantitative, molecular determination of Staphylococcus aureus in burn sepsis patients. He is also a National Heart Blood and Lung Institute (NHLBI) Emergency Medicine K12 Career Award Scholar focusing on physiologically based pharmacokinetics for antimicrobial therapy in patients with sepsis.

Dr. Dave P.Milzman is an Professor of Emergency Medicine and currently serves in multiple roles at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is an Assistant Dean for Student Research, Research Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Washington Hospital Centre of Georgetown University,Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine, and Medical Student Senior Advisor Director of Brain Trauma Research .He is also an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Georgetown University. He served in various teaching, research, and practice roles with several schools and hospitals in the metropolitan area. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, obtained his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University, and completed his residency training in Emergency and Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Milzman is one of two non-lawyer members of the Commission. On June 3, 2014, the City Council confirmed the appointment of Dr. David P.
