Biography

Dr Liamunga Mwiya Imasiku is an Associate Victims Expert at International criminal court in the Hague where he carry out psychosocial assessments and brief trauma interventions / enhancement of wellbeing on victims of crime against humanity. Liamunga’s previous Job was Clinical Psychology Consultant/Medical lecturer in the department of psychiatry and behavioral Sciences at the University Teaching Hospital. From 2007 to 2012 he was the Chairperson of the Psychology Department and Senior Lecturer, Local Principle Research Investigator. His research has been supported by several local and international grants, and has been published in Zambian and international journals. In addition, I have worked as a consultant in several Non-Governmental Organizations in and outside Zambia including the Dream Runners Orphanage, Catholic Relief Services, Serenity Harm Reduction Programme Zambia, Freedom Foundation, International Justice Commission, and the Regional Aids Training Network I have expertise in training of trainers in TFCBT components requiring knowledge and skills in psychological assessments, management plans and psychological services to maximize the overall wellbeing of victims and of vulnerable clients who are traumatized by negative vices such as gender-based violence.
